In collaboration with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), employee wellness partner UH Portage Medical Center will host a one-day opportunity to dispose of expired, unwanted or unused pharmaceutical controlled substances and over-the-counter medications for destruction. This drive-up/drop-off program is anonymous and all medications will be destroyed. The Take Back event will be held Saturday, Apr. 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
In celebration of April 2024 National Poetry Month, Kent State University Geauga will host retired nurse, poet, and essayist Jeanne Bryner, who will read from her work and conduct a workshop on healing through writing.
