EMBA International Business Experience
A highlight of the Executive MBA program at Kent State University is the international business experience.
The Bachelor of Arts degree in Music gives students an opportunity to earn a degree in music that aligns with their future musical and career goals and explore interdisciplinary opportunities by declaring a minor of their choice.
The Music major includes the following optional concentration:
Students in this program are encouraged to craft their major to serve their professional futures. Musicians may pair this major with a minor in areas that include, but are not limited to, media, digital music production, psychology, audiology, entrepreneurship, music technology and more.
The university affirmatively strives to provide educational opportunities and access to students with varied backgrounds, those with special talents and adult students who graduated from high school three or more years ago.
Admission to this major is selective. Students are required to do a program/scholarship audition. Information regarding audition days and requirements can be found at https://www.kent.edu/music/undergraduate-audition, or inquiries can be sent to musicadmission@kent.edu.
International Students: All international students must provide proof of proficiency of the English language (unless they meet specific exceptions) through the submission of an English language proficiency test score or by completing English language classes at Kent State’s English as a Second Language Center before entering their program. For more information, visit the admissions website for international students.

The Teaching English as Second Language Endorsement Preparation non-degree program allows teachers with a current Ohio teaching license to advance their knowledge of language and second language learning in the P-12 context. Completion of the coursework is a prerequisite to being recommended by Kent State University for supplemental license in multi-age teaching English to speakers of other language; and licenses are granted by the Ohio Department of Education.
The non-degree program is not a master's degree. Students interested in obtaining a teaching license and a master's degree from Kent State University must also be fully admitted into the M.A. degree in Teaching English as a Second Language, TESL Education concentration.
This program is designed to prepare students to sit for applicable licensure or certification in Ohio. If you plan to pursue licensure or certification in a state other than Ohio, please review state educational requirements for licensure or certification and contact information for state licensing boards at Kent State's website for professional licensure disclosure.
For more information about graduate admissions, visit the graduate admission website. For more information on international admissions, visit the international admission website.
International applicants who do not meet the above test scores may be considered for conditional admission.
