As a Pittsburgh native, coming to Kent State University was a little challenging for me. Although I would only be traveling about two hours away from home, I was moving away from all the individuals I had ever known to start over in a new state. From November 15 through December 10, Kent State University will be collecting clean, gently used or new items for all ages, including warm clothing, hats, gloves, scarves and sweaters. Look for large boxes with Winter Coat and Clothing Drive signs at the buildings listed below. Beginning this fall, Kent State University at Trumbull is offering Trumbull Correctional Institution incarcerated individuals a chance to complete a Bachelor of Technical and Applied Studies (BTAS). With substantial funding support from local foundations, Kent State Trumbull and LaunchNET Kent State will join Sinclair Community College (Dayton, OH) to complete this new 2+2 program partnership.
