Kent State Geauga student Katrina Ostrander has won first place in the university's eight-campus-wide Tier One Writing Contest for her essay, "A Memory Replacement," produced in Dr. Bonnie Shaker's College Writing I course in fall 2017. The award comes with a $250 prize, which is presented at the Department of English Awards Ceremony and Reception at the Kent Student Center on April 17.
