The Kent State University Board of Trustees will hold its next regular business meeting Thursday, March 2. The Board is scheduled to convene at 11:30 a.m. in Rockwell Library in Rockwell Hall. Rockwell Hall is located at 515 Hilltop Drive in Kent, Ohio.
Trustees will retire into executive session from 7:30-8:15 a.m. in the Rhodes Conference Room to consider specific topics as provided for under Ohio’s “Sunshine Law.”

Online midterm grading for all spring 2017 lower-division undergraduate courses (levels 00000, 10000, 20000) meeting in the full term (Jan. 17 through May 7) began Feb. 6 via FlashFAST. Please remember that midterm grading applies ONLY to courses that meet for the full semester.

Three candidates for dean of Kent State University's Honors College will be on campus during the week of March 6. Each candidate will hold a public presentation on the topic: Components of top-notch honors programs and how the candidate has worked to achieve those successes thus far.

Kent State University’s Center for Student Involvement recently received the Best Poster Award from the Consortium for Student Retention Data Exchange for its poster on student retention through the FLASHperks program.
The winning poster, designed by senior visual communications design major Nicholas Blanchard through the center’s Signum Design, details how the FLASHperks program works and how the program benefits Kent State students.
Kent State University's Division of Business and Finance provided a real-world learning experience for students by allowing them to be a part of the university’s bond-refunding process.
This opportunity allowed students to observe calls with ratings agencies, visit KeyBank in downtown Cleveland and experience the legal aspects of refunding bonds.

Employees not eligible for the paid leave include student employees, classified temporary staff, temporary agency staff, short-term unclassified appointments, unclassified intermittent appointments and employees in a lay-off status. More information on the holiday schedule, including how employees should report time during that period, will be available later this month.
