Steven R. Brown, Professor Emeritus, Evaluation and Measurement, presented “Subjectivity in the Social Sciences” at the 13th International Conference on Interdisciplinary Social Sciences in Granada, Spain, on July 27, 2018.

Virginia Dressler, University Libraries, presented “Moving Towards Compliance: Small Steps for Project Managers to Incorporate Accessibility Standards and Practices Into Existing Digital Production Workflows” at the Digital Conversion Interest Group (ALCTS PARS), American Library Association Annual Meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana, on June 23, 2018.

 

Lae'l Hughes-Watkins, University Libraries, was named as one of the 25 Fellows for the Association of Research Libraries' (ARL) Leadership & Career Development Program's 2018-19 cohort on May 4, 2018. The yearlong program prepares librarians from underrepresented groups to take on leadership roles in their careers and professions.

Alfred Guiffrida, Management and Information Systems, presented “A Research Agenda for the Supply Chain Last Mile Delivery Problem” at the 2018 Annual MBAA International Conference in Chicago, Illinois, on April 18, 2018.

 

Summary: Guiffrida chaired a research panel on supply chain last mile delivery.

Pamela Evans, Ph.D., College of Architecture and Environmental Design, earned the 2018 Educator of the Year award from the International Interior Design Association (IIDA). The IIDA Educator of the Year Award recognizes and celebrates a full-time design educator for outstanding accomplishments and commitment to interior design education. The award includes a $10,000 cash prize, sponsored by Milliken.
