Kent State is offering the first fully online Health Policy & Management MPH program available from an Ohio university and one of only a handful nationwide.  Delivered 100-percent online, the program is ideal for working professionals seeking career advancement in public health, healthcare administration and nonprofit management.

A global health partnership with Soochow University (SU), Suzhou, China, became official October 15.  This marks the sixth such partnership initiated by the college for Kent State and the first in Asia, joining those in Argentina and Colombia.

One stepping stone in the pursuit of an exceptional public health career is the MPH degree.  Four recent graduates demonstrate the truth to that statement, marking significant career advancement since earning their Kent State degrees:  Frank Migliozzi, director of environmental health for the Trumbull County Health Department; Sunita Shakya, an epidemiology student in the college’s doctoral program; Lauren Skubon, an innovation systems analyst at The J.M.

Two of the college’s innovative MPH programs – the fully online MPH and the MPH with a focus on leadership and organizational change – are gaining traction and adding cohorts.  Both are designed with flexibility in mind, to appeal to students with major work or family commitments that would inhibit a full-time, traditional MPH education in Health Policy & Management (HPM).

An online M.P.H. program in Health Policy and Management, with all the excellence and rigor of the college’s full- and part-time face-to-face programs, will be offered by Kent State starting Fall Semester 2014.  This is the first fully online Health Policy and Management M.P.H. program available from an Ohio university and one of only a handful nationwide.
