2023 Theatre Awards put the School of Theatre and Dance and Porthouse Theatre in the Spotlight

Kent State University School of Theatre and Dance is proud to announce that students and faculty were recognized for their work over the past year. Multiple nominations and awards were presented from the Cleveland Critics Circle 2023 Theatre Awards and the BroadwayWorld Cleveland 2023 Theatre Awards.

Kent State University School of Theatre and Dance’s mainstage season will continue on February 16 with “Rent” by Johnathan Larson. Following “Rent” the Kent Dance Ensemble will perform “On the Cusp.” The season closes with “Everybody” by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins. Tickets are available through the Performing Arts Box Office.

About BroadwayWorld Cleveland 2023 Theatre Awards

BroadwayWorld-Cleveland each year recognizes local theaters, performances, writers, performers and technicians of plays staged by area professional theaters. Only plays that this reviewer saw, and were locally produced, are included in the citations.
