Guest Artists
Students in the School of Theatre and Dance regularly interact with a network of professional visiting artists who have worked in regional and national theatrical venues, in higher education, and in film and television.
Currently, the school has three different endowed guest-artist series:

Master Class with Barry Keating – Composer and Lyricist of Tony Award nominated Starmites
Master Class with Everett Quinton – Drama Desk and Obie Award winning actor; former Artistic Director of the Ridiculous Theatrical Company
Residency by Joseph Hanreddy – 2013-2014 Roe Green Visiting Director (Pride and Prejudice); former Artistic Director of Milwaukee Repertory Theatre and co-adapter with J.R. Sullivan of Pride and Prejudice performed at Kent State in April 2014
Master Class with Christopher K. Morgan – Choreographer; Named in 2011 as one of Dance Magazine's 6 Breakout Choreographers in the United States
Residency by Kathleen F. Conlin – 2014-2015 Roe Green Visiting Director (You Can't Take It With You); twenty-two seasons as Associate Artistic Director and Casting Director for the Tony Award-winning Utah Shakespeare Festival
Residency by Garth Fagan – 2014-2015 Armstrong Family Visiting Artist; Fagan is the founder of Garth Fagan Dance and won a Tony Award for his choreography of Broadway's The Lion King

Residency by Karen Stokes – Artistic Director of Karen Stokes Dance, Co-Founder of Travesty Dance Group; Head of University of Houston Dance program
Residency by Michael Rupert –2012-2013 Roe Green Visiting Director (Spring Awakening); Actor, writer and composer; appeared in Broadway productions of Pippin, Sweet Charity, March of the Falsettos, Falsettoland, Ragtime and Legally Blonde.

Residency and Guest Appearance by Ami Dayan – 2011-2012 Roe Green Visiting Director (Nathan the Wise); Playwright, director and performer. Adapted Dario Fo's A Tale of a Tiger which he performed at the School of Theatre and Dance in 2012.
Master Class by John Moauro – A 2007 graduate of the School of Theatre and Dance, Moauro was a member of the Hair cast on Broadway, in London's West End and on the National Tour
Master Class by Ben Vereen – Tony Award winning performing artist
