The Strengthening Education in North East Nigeria Project is a 3-year USAID-funded education grant that focuses on improving outcomes in literacy and mathematics for school children in Adamawa and Gombe states.

American University of Nigeria is the primary recipient of this grant, with Kent State University (OH) and Columbia University serving as sub-awardees. In total, the project is funded at $13.3 million dollars with Kent State receiving $3.9 million, Columbia receiving $1.5 million, and AUN receiving the remainder ($7.8 mi
