Visit the CARES Food Pantry

The CARES Center Food Pantry is located in the CARES Center in Suite 106 of the Kent Student Center.

In an effort to ensure access for as many students as possible, we have made a few changes to our pantry policy. Starting May 19th, students will no longer need to make a pantry reservation for traditional pantry visits. Students must still complete the CARES Center Food Pantry Agreement Form each month. Students can visit the CARES Center Pantry once per month.

  • Traditional Pantry: Mondays through Wednesdays, 10:30 AM to 4 PM, no reservation needed. Supplies are limited.
  • Produce-Only Pantry: Thursdays, 10:30 AM to 4 PM, no reservation needed.
  • Pop-Up Pantry Hours: Various Fridays 11 AM while supplies last

Pantry Guidelines

The CARES Center Food Pantry provides access to nutritious food for students who can't afford to buy groceries. Please take a moment to complete the Pantry Request Form and Agreement. Due to a significant increase in reservation requests and to ensure access to students most in need, priority will be given to first-time visitors.

The CARES Center Food Pantry Reservations Agreement form is open.

  • Students must complete the Pantry Request Form and Agreement before visiting the CARES Center Pantry.
  • Students can visit the pantry once a month.
  • Students must be registered in at least one course for the Summer 2025 or Fall 2025 semester.
  • Students must bring their personal photo ID. Students are not permitted to utilize the photo ID belonging to another individual.
  • Reservations can be made for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10:30 AM to 4 PM.
  • Students have 5 minutes to shop, leaving 5 minutes for check-out.
  • Students receive 10 points for dry goods and an allotted quantity of fruits and veggies.
