The Colors of Our Grief
When someone we love takes their final bow, they leave behind something enormous — a grief that is not a phase to pass through, but a presence that travels with us. It shifts in color, texture, and weight. Some days it flattens us. Some days it opens something unexpected.
This evening is built around that truth.
We begin with the exclusive screening of Turning Blue — a quiet, intimate short film about a mother and daughter in the hours before the mother's death. After the screening, join directors Dana White and Chris Knoblock for a conversation about how film and the arts help us name what words sometimes cannot express. The film is based on a true story: Dana cared for her mother for three years before her death.
From there, we move into a guided creative activity. No artistic background required, only a willingness to put something on paper.
We close with a Death Café: an open, facilitated conversation about death, dying, and mortality — led by a grief expert, shaped by our guests.
