Digital Media Production Major

Alexandria is a senior Digital Media Production major from Dayton, Ohio who hopes to use her experiences at Kent State to enter the film industry. She currently serves as the Creative Director of the student organization the Female Filmmakers' Initiative (FFI) where she recently wrote and directed her first short film BLOOMER.  Through FFI, she can collaborate with other female and non-binary student filmmakers to harvest a safe space to create the stories that they want to see on screen. She also has been involved in other Kent State Student Media organizations on campus such as TV2, Black Squirrel Radio, Teleproductions, and A Magazine.

Through the College of Communication and Information, she also has experienced wonderful, career-driven opportunities. During the Spring 2023 semester, she studied abroad at Kent State Florence. It was there that she had the opportunity to experience a new culture and learn about its film history during her Italian Cinema class. She also recently completed an internship at 1895 Films in Los Angeles, California working under Kent State alum Tom Jennings. After being exposed to the possibilities available in the city, she plans on returning to start her career in LA after graduation.

"The opportunities that have been provided to me through CCI are what have made my college experience so memorable and so special!"
