About Me

I joined Kent State University’s Division of University Communications and Marketing (UCM) in May of 2023, bringing with me prior experience in B2B publishing, public relations, public radio and newspaper reporting. Here at UCM, I produce a variety of content – ranging from feature stories for Kent State Today and Kent State Magazine to strategic communications and marketing materials for the university. A proud Golden Flash, I have a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in creative writing. 

As a writer, editor and storyteller, I would say my ethos can be best summed up by this quote from Anne Morrow Lindbergh: “Good communication is as stimulating as black coffee and just as hard to sleep after.” 

What I Love About Kent State

Kent State is truly special place – a beautiful campus filled with a rich tapestry of intelligent, kind and passionate people who want to make a positive impact on the world. The motto “Flashes Take Care of Flashes” isn’t simply lip service. It really means something, and I get to see proof of that every day while working on campus.
