About Me
I began working at Kent State University in August 2009 as the director of university media relations. In this role, I work with members of the media to tell the great stories about Kent State, including its amazing students, faculty and staff. I love seeing, reading or hearing a Kent State news story that I helped make happen.
I received my Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from Kent State, and I really enjoy working at my alma mater. Prior to joining the university, I worked at public relations agencies in Cleveland, planning and executing public relations programs for a variety of consumer, business-to-business, nonprofit and institutional clients.
What I Love About Kent State
I love the people, the beautiful campus and those beloved black squirrels. I also get excited each time I see Flash at sporting events or on campus. Go Flashes! It's a special place where I learned more about myself when I was a student, developed the skills I needed for a career and found my spouse.
Fun Facts
I have worked with circus performers (both human and animal), a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, celebrity chefs and the cast of “A Christmas Story.” I am a huge fan of the band U2. I am proud to be originally from Buffalo, New York. I love Cleveland and Buffalo sports. My husband, who is also a Kent State graduate, proposed to me in the Daily Kent Stater student newspaper.
