Mathematics Education - M.A.T. Mathematics (7-12) | Kent State University

The MAT program is a graduate-level program that prepares bachelor’s degree holders who were not education majors an opportunity to become teachers at either the Early Childhood (preK-3) or Adolescent/Young Adult (grades 7-12) level.

The Early Childhood MAT program (grades 7-12) is for individuals who already hold a bachelor's degree in another subject area and who are interested in becoming certified to teach Preschool through Grade 3 in the state of Ohio. There are three (3) hours of required mathematics pedagogy coursework with this program.
