Faculty-led Summer Study Abroad Trip to Japan

Do you like Japanese food?  Do you like Japanese pop culture such as anime, manga, and games? Do you want to visit old temples and samurai castles?  If yes, this is the trip for you.  On this faculty-led summer trip to Japan, you will experience modern Japan through fashion, technology, food, and pop culture, while also visiting historical and religious sites such as samurai castles, shrines, and temples. Faculty will explain each site you will be visiting with pictures and videos, and they will also answer any questions you might have.

Career Exploration and Development

Working in the U.S. as an International Student: Understanding the H1B Visa

Senior Associate General Counsel Michael Pfahl will provide basic information about the H1B visa, a work visa for international students looking for employment in the US after graduation.

It is not intended to answer specific questions about individual immigration circumstances, but instead outlines the visa’s purpose, what it allows a new graduate to do, and what the current regulations mean for students currently in the US.
