  • The Contracts Library
  • CORI - Contracting and Organizations Research Initiative (University of Missouri-Columbia [Formerly maintained by the Center for Research on Contracts and the Structure of Enterprise at the University of Pittsburgh]): contains numerous contracts for mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, franchising, entertainment, shipping, health care, etc. Registration is required to access this free searchable database.
  • CataLaw: Business and Legal Forms (English) - link to sites containing legal and business forms
  • Legal Documents - Internet's largest collection of free legal forms
  • Links to Business and Legal Forms in English - hundreds of legal and business forms in .pdf format (Note: Adobe Acrobat reader is required to view .pdf files)  
  • NYU Edgar Filing Retrieval Tool - search, view, download and print financial statements and forms filed with U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission by U.S. and foreign corporations

  • STO's Patent Search System Site - home page for Source Translation & Optimization's (STO) Internet Patent Search System, a way for people around the world to perform patent searches and access information on the patenting process.  Find patent titles by scrolling through the list and selecting the class and subclasses from general to specific (i.e., machinery, manufacturing, wheelwright machines), or enter the class/subclass codes as used in the Index to the U.S. Manual of Classifications (ex: 363-131).
  • IBM Patent Server - most comprehensive U.S. Patent site.  Allows you to access over 26 years of U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) patent descriptions.  Search by words (e.g. elevator, robot, twin-engine, John Smith, etc.), or scroll down to perform an alternative or boolean search.
  • United States Patent and Trademark Office’s free patent databases - these include both the U.S. Patent Bibliographic Database (a freely searchable database of front page information from U.S. patents issued from 1976-1997), and the AIDS Patent Database (a freely searchable database of the full text and images of AIDS related patents issued by the U.S., Japanese and European patent offices).
  • European Patent Office Internet Resources - scroll down list to view links classified by the following categories: patent offices, database hosts offering patent databases, patents classification systems, useful European connections and similar sources.

  • LANTRA: Translator and Interpreter Listserv - electronic mailing list for translators and interpreters.  Allows you to ask questions about terms and receive quick answers from professional translators.  Expect to receive approximately 100+ e-mail messages daily.  Subscribe to LANTRA.
