Various departments, including Payroll, Benefits and Employee and Academic Records, use this number to associate their records with you. Locate your Kent State ID Number by logging into FlashLine and selecting the profile image to access the My Profile page. For security reasons, do not share this number with anyone.

Kent State University has been named a Military Friendly® School for the seventh year in a row.

Kent State University has been named a Military Friendly® School by Victory Media, publisher of G.I. Jobs®, STEM JobSM and Military Spouse, for the seventh year in a row. In addition, this is the fifth year that Kent State University at Tuscarawas has held the elite title. Kent State at Ashtabula has been recognized for four years.

The latest designation puts Kent State in the top 20 percent of colleges and universities nationwide that are doing the most to embrace a commitment to student veterans, both in the classroom and after graduation.

Kent State University President Beverly Warren delivered her first State of the University address on Nov. 19 in the Kent Student Center Kiva. Kent State faculty, staff, students and members of the community were invited to attend the event, which was themed “Celebrating Today, Imagining Tomorrow.”

All Kent State University campuses will operate on a holiday schedule from Thursday, Dec. 24, 2015, through Friday, Jan. 1, 2016. During this time, all nonessential operations will be closed at all Kent State campuses. Normal business operations will resume with the first shift on Monday, Jan. 4, 2016.

Bridge Street Boulevard is now offering food service at Kent State University at Ashtabula.

Kent State University at Ashtabula welcomes a new food service to campus with the opening of Bridge Street Boulevard. The food counter, operated by local chef and restauranteur Nate Rockwell, serves a variety of lunch favorites including burgers, wraps, pizza, panini grilled sandwiches and specialty salads. The new campus lunch service will operate Monday through Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Bridge Street Boulevard opened to the campus community and the public on Nov. 16.

Two stray kittens were rescued by Kent State employees.

What has eight paws, wears formal attire and tugs at heartstrings? Kent State University employees in the Administrative Services Building and the Office of Institutional Advancement found the answer when they discovered two stray tuxedo kittens in separate locations and on separate occasions in Kent.

From paying veterinary bills to offering temporary homes and securing permanent homes, both offices did all they could to rescue the kittens.
