Kent State University’s School of Theatre and Dance continues its 2025-2026 season with Dance '25-ReUnite, running November 21 through 23 in E. Turner Stump Theatre, located in the Center for Performing Arts.
ReUnite, is a call to action. At a time when people are polarized by their political associations, this title attempts to bring us all together. Four faculty have worked to realize five unique ballets that take the audience on a shared journey of music, drama, and movement. When the world seems fragmented, the arts provide us with healing, joy, perspective, and an appreciation of life. As you take your seat for this concert, look around and notice how you have joined a community brought together by the beauty of music, dance, and human expression.
The artistic director of Dance '25-ReUnite is Jeffrey Marc Rockland, with choreography by Jennifer Black, Ambre Emory-Maier, Constance Hardinge, Fabritio Caroso, Césare Negri and Hernando Cortez and regisséurs, Catherine Meredith, Jeffrey Marc Rockland and Ambre Emory-Maier. Costume design is by Ruby Haga, Chloe Royak, Addison DeSanto, Alice Forget and Michelle Souza. Tom Humes serves as production stage manager and Frankie Tueber as properties designer. Lighting design is by Andrew Hall, Kylee Dennis, Colleen Harney, David McKain and Casey Kirvan. Karl Erdmann is the production manager and Tony Hardin is the director of the School of Theatre and Dance and executive producer.
