About Me

I joined Kent State University’s Division of University Communications and Marketing in 2026 as a content creator, where I tell stories through video, photography and written content. I’m particularly interested in finding the people, places and moments that help show what makes Kent State special.

Before joining Kent State, I spent 10 years at University Hospitals in Cleveland, where I served as a senior producer and manager of multimedia production, leading a team that produced more than 300 videos each year. Before that, I spent 13 years as a broadcast journalist in Waco, Texas, Buffalo, New York, and Cleveland, where I finished my television career as a morning news anchor at WEWS-TV.

I’ve also spent time teaching as an adjunct professor in Kent State’s School of Media and Journalism.

Outside of my Kent State work, I also run my multimedia production company, PK Productions.

I’m a graduate of The College of Wooster, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in English, and Southern Methodist University, where I earned a master’s degree in TV/Radio.

What I Love About Kent State

There’s a story everywhere you look at Kent State.

It might be a student doing something extraordinary for the first time, a professor changing the way people think, an alumnus making an impact in the world or one of those little moments that simply captures what it feels like to be a Golden Flash.

What I love most is getting to find those stories and help bring them to life.

I also love that Kent State and the city of Kent are so closely connected. Having lived here since 2007, there’s an energy here that you can feel on campus, downtown and everywhere in between.
