María Cristina Brett Páez is from Venezuela, South America originally. She has a BS in Economics and an MBA from Universidad de Carabobo, Valencia, Venezuela. She also has an MA in Translation and an MEd from Kent State University. Maria Brett has a rich blend of the real world and academic experience. She worked in the financial and corporate world for more than 20 years. She has been a member of the Kent State University community for more than 19 years. First as a graduate student and after that as an instructor. She is an Associate Spanish Lecturer in the Department of Modern & Classical Language Studies.
