Job Description

Provides strategic vision and leadership to the faculty, staff and students to address the mission and accreditation of the university and the College of Nursing. Dean Johnson-Mallard sets the direction of the college to be consistent with new developments in healthcare and changing societal needs. Representing the college at professional meetings at all levels of the university, regionally, and nationally, she acts as a liaison for the college. Johnson-Mallard's other duties include preparing and administering the college’s budget; recruiting and appointing faculty, staff and students; developing and implementing a program for faculty and staff development; supporting faculty scholarship and research; staff development and growth while establishing and implementing innovative programs for student at the undergraduate and graduate level and providing leadership in meeting CCNE accreditation standards and Ohio Board of Nursing program evaluation.
