Kent State Ashtabula to Offer Intro to Veterinarian Technology Course in Spring 2018

Introductory Course Being Offered in Spring 2018

Are you an animal lover?  Are you interested in a career in veterinarian technology?  

Kent State University at Ashtabula will offer an introductory course to Veterinarian Technology beginning with the Spring 2018 semester.  Register for VTEC 10001, Introduction to Veterinarian Technology (CRN #21481), a 2-hour course providing an introduction to veterinary technician's career: medical terminology, career choices, occupational safety, human-animal bond, pet loss, euthanasia, animal husbandry and basic nutrition, breed identification, basic animal behavior. 

The Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology (VTEC) degree is offered through the Kent State system. The introductory course will prepare students to further study in the major. The Veterinary Technology program prepares students for careers in veterinary practices, animal hospitals and farms of all sizes.
