Melanie Jones

Melanie Jones is the Director of Student Success Programs in University College. Within the college, she focuses on designing and delivering equitable and data-informed student success initiatives across the lifecycle of students from their first year to degree completion. These success efforts help remove barriers for students on their journey to degree completion and empower them to become student leaders across the University.  These efforts include the Early Alert system, the Summer Advantage program, and the Peer Success Academy, to name a few.

Melanie has been employed at Kent State University for 6 years. She earned her bachelor's degree in public communications and her Master's in higher education administration and College Student Personnel from Kent State University.
