Lunch with an Alumni
The Academic Success Center is hosting live zoom sessions with Kent State University Alumni, faculty, Program Directors, and advisors to talk about life after graduation. This is an excellent opportunity for students to speak with alumni who are working in the field, and to gain insight into the academic programs, career opportunities, and graduate programs. Theses interactive lunch talks are available via ZOOM under upcoming Live Lunch Talks. For questions, contact Irene Skleres at 964-4304 or iskleres@kent,edu

Please indicate if you need special services, assistance, or accommodations to fully participate in this event or program by contacting Irene Skleres, Coordinator, Academic & Student Accessibilities Services, at academicsservicesac@kent.edu or 440-964-4565. Please notify this department prior to the event date you require services.

Upcoming Lunch with Alumni/Criminology & Justice Studies
The Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology & Justice Studies takes an interdisciplinary approach to the study of crime, law, and justice. Faculty members view crime, deviance, and society's response from the fields of sociology, political science, psychology, and traditional criminal justice viewpoints. The curriculum provides a firm understanding of the basic institutions of the criminal justice system. Students are also exposed to criminological theory and diversity courses, which help them understand the complex relationship between the individual, society and the criminal justice system. The program stresses effective writing and analytical skills. Students are afforded the opportunity to earn credit through internship placements.
