Six of Kent State University’s Regional Campuses were recently featured in Solar Power World for the installation of solar panels on its campuses, offering cleaner, more sustainable energy that is also more cost effective.  The solar project involves the Ashtabula, East Liverpool, Geauga, Salem, Stark and Trumbull campuses. An early holiday gift came to student Katelyn Matusky in the form of a $1,000 scholarship toward her Spring Semester studies from an anonymous “Christmas Angel.” Katelyn, who is pursuing his degree in Respiratory Therapy, was surprised with the award virtually by Dean Susan J. Stocker, Ph.D. during a staged meeting with faculty members from the Respiratory Therapy program. This is the fifth year in a row the Christmas Angel has rewarded a deserving student. At the same time, “I’m bored” is a constant refrain, uttered as if boredom relief is a perplexing mystery.
