The Kent State University alumni family grew by nearly 3,000 new graduates as the university held its Fall Commencement ceremonies. For the Kent Campus, Commencement ceremonies took place Friday, Dec. 13, and Saturday, Dec. 14, at the Memorial Athletic and Convocation (MAC) Center. The Kent State Golden Flashes football team (6-6) is bowling for the fourth time in school history, having accepted a bid to the Tropical Smoothie Cafe Frisco Bowl against Utah State (7-5, Mountain West). The game will take place on Friday, Dec. 20, at 7:30 p.m. at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas, with coverage on ESPN2. It will be the first bowl game for Kent State since the 2013 GoDaddy.com Bowl (2012 season).
