Kent State University at Ashtabula is sad to announce the passing of John K. Mahan, Ph.D., on Sunday, November 24, 2019.  Mahan served the campus for 27 years, including the last 10 years as dean. He was 83.

Calling hours will be held Friday, Dec. 13, from 1-3 p.m. at Thompson-Smith-Nesbitt Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Conneaut.  A funeral mass will follow on Saturday, Dec. 14, at Mother of Sorrows Church in Ashtabula at 11 a.m.

The Board is scheduled to convene at 10 a.m. in the George Urban Board of Trustees Conference Room, which is located on the second floor of the University Library. On Tuesday, Kent State Trumbull officially added Women’s and Men’s Bowling to its athletic program. Dale Johnson of Champion was named head coach.  Johnson has competed at state and national levels since he was 18.
