MSAED Admissions Guidance

Statement of Purpose and Outline of Proposed Course of Study

The two-page Statement of Purpose should elaborate, clearly and precisely, your purpose for entering the MSAED program, your proposed area of study, and describe any particular interest(s) and preparation in the field. It should delineate your intellectual and practical background for graduate school.

I took college courses while in high school. Do I need to attend DKS?

Yes. Any student who took college courses in high school (i.e. College Credit Plus, Advanced Placement, CLEP or International Baccalaureate exams), regardless of the number of hours transferred to Kent State, is required to attend DKS.

As a reminder, don’t forget to submit your official transcripts or test scores before your orientation date.
