Family-Friendly Study Hours

Between commuting, taking classes around work schedules and, of course, studying while caring for dependents, higher education for some non-traditional students offers additional challenges.   Fortunately, Kent State University’s Center for Adult and Veteran Services (CAVS) offers family-friendly study hours for student parents that offers a trained student volunteer to entertain and supervise children.   Study hours are offered most Tuesdays from 2-5 p.m. and Wednesdays 4-7 p.m. on the sixth floor of the library during the fall and spring semesters.     Morgan Chaney...

The Kent State Student Leadership Consultants (SLC) hosted the "Keep Going, Keep Growing: A Student Organization's Guide to Making Meaningful Change" workshop Tuesday, Nov. 8, that showed students how strong leadership can be used to fundamentally change the culture in their workplaces.
