Kent State Geauga made a strong showing at Kent State University’s eight-campus annual English Department Writing Awards Ceremony, a Zoom event held on April 27, 2022. Seven students from Associate Professor Bonnie Shaker’s composition courses and four from Senior Lecturer Mahli Mechenbier’s writing courses won 2022 Writing Awards. Kent State University at Tuscarawas held the 52nd Commencement Ceremony in two separate ceremonies on Thurs., May 12, and Friday, May 13, with over 400 students graduating with an associate or bachelor’s degree and 18 students receiving certificates. The ceremonies were held in the Performing Arts Center. During the ceremony, Robert Miller, mathematical sciences lecturer, received the 2021-22 Distinguished Teaching Award.
