The Scottsdale Independent reports that EHHS alumnus Tessa Pagel, BS ’16, Lorain, OH, is co-owner with her husband Kellen Pagel of 4Ever Young. The husband and wife duo are former collegiate athletes. Due to scheduling conflicts and end of term issues, we have cancelled the final event of the 2023 SPCS Spring Colloquia Series originally scheduled for this Thursday, April 27, 2023, with Drs. Katherine (Katie) McNamara Manning is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Kent State University. She recently submitted her first manuscript for publication titled “Experimental calibration of trapping methods for addressing bias in arthropod biodiversity monitoring.” It is currently in review for publication. She has also shared her research through poster presentations and virtual talks at local, regional, and national conferences. Michael Daniels, Ph.D., '22, director of Kent State University's E. Timothy Moore Student Multicultural Center, received a national dissertation of the year award from the Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education (NASPA) Foundation. Dr. Daniels’ dissertation is a constructivist grounded theory study on undergraduate Black men and how they develop their leader identity.
