The National Collegiate Honors Council has named recent Kent State University graduate Megan Swoger a 2018 Portz Scholar. The greenhouse effect is one of the most widely known causes of global climate change. It is currently caused by an excess of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere due to burning of fossil fuels.
