What is ABET Accreditation, and Why is it Important?

ABET is an accreditation board for college and university programs in the disciplines of applied and natural science, computing, engineering and engineering technology at the associate, bachelor’s and master’s degree levels. With ABET accreditation, students, employers and the society we serve can be confident that our program meets the quality standards that produce graduates prepared to enter a global workforce.

Faculty Profile: Rebecca Meehan, Ph.D.

Rebecca Meehan, Ph.D., came to the iSchool in 2012, bringing an extensive background in research related to health care and health informatics, particularly focused on information technology and user experience. Her interests center on improving patient safety outcomes by improving the user experience of health information technology, and sociotechnical approaches to improving health outcomes for a diverse cultural population.
