Beyond Compliance and what it means

You may notice that some trainings for faculty and staff are marked with "BC." Two hours of Beyond Compliance (BC) training are required of all staff every fiscal year, and strongly encouraged for Tenure Track/Full-Time Non Tenure-Track faculty. This initiative keeps the university compliant with Title IX of the federal Education Amendments of 1972, and The Campus SaVE Act, part of the 2013 reauthorized Violence Against Women Act.

“The amount of independence you gain is almost surprising. Living abroad has been one of the best decisions I've made in really putting myself out there in seeing just how much I can improve myself. The independence and things you learn about yourself so quickly is cool... I'd say the most memorable experience abroad has been the people I've met. I never would have thought I'd make such close relationships with locals here as well. I'd say that's the most valuable and memorable thing I've gained here… [Studying abroad] is easily the best decision and opportunity I’ve been given.
