    Biography

    Ashley E. Nickels is an associate professor in the School of Peace and Conflict Studies (SPCS) at Kent State University and Co-Editor-in-Chief of Administrative Theory & Praxis. An award-winning scholar, her interdisciplinary work focuses on civic power and democratic participation, with a particiular interest in how urban communities navigate and transform conflict and inequity. Dr. Nickels holds a PhD in Public Affairs from Rutgers University-Camden.
