Biography
Hossein Mirinejad, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the College of Aeronautics and Engineering at Kent State University, Kent, OH. Prior to joining Kent State, he was a Research Fellow at the Food and Drug Administration from 2017 to 2019 and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Michigan—Ann Arbor from 2016 to 2017.
Research Interests:
Dr. Mirinejad’s research advances autonomous systems by integrating AI, machine learning, control theory, and dynamical systems modeling. With primary applications in healthcare and robotics, his work develops safe and explainable autonomy for human life-support systems and contributes to fundamental advances in digital-twin modeling and learning-based control.
