Matthew Heppe

Matthew is an Assistant Director for University Orientation and Visit Experience in the Admissions Office. In this role, he helps plan, coordinate, and administer Destination Kent State (DKS) and Transfer Kent State (TKS) orientation programs as well as assist the Visit Experience Team with various on-campus events through the Admissions Office. Matthew has worked at KSU since 2018, when he began working as a Financial Aid Specialist in the University Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid specializing in scholarships. In 2022 he started as an Admissions Visit Coordinator and then moved into his current role in 2024. In the spring of 2024, Matthew also completed his M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration and Student Affairs from Kent State. In his spare time, Matthew is an actor and director with various theaters across northeast Ohio and is an advisor for the Portage County Junior Fair Board.
