Kent State University is once again at the top tier when it comes to exhibiting leading practices and supporting post-military students, receiving the 2021-2022 Military Friendly® School designation for its Kent Campus. This is the 12th year in a row that the Kent Campus has received the Military Friendly School honor.

Kent State University held its annual Veterans Day Commemoration on Thursday, Nov. 7, in the Kent Student Center Kiva. This year’s guest speaker was Lt. Col. Colleen VanNatta. A graduate of Kent State’s Air Force ROTC detachment, VanNatta served as a media escort for joint information bureaus in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, during Operation Desert Storm.

For the 10th consecutive time, Kent State has earned the 2019-2020 Military Friendly School designation for its Kent Campus. Military Friendly rates companies and colleges on their programs to recruit and retain military veterans as employees and students.
