Nikki, the Top Hawk Cessna aircraft, was revealed Feb. 23 at the Kent State University Airport to students, alumni and friends of Kent State University’s Aeronautics Program, and to family members of the plane’s namesake. Nikki joins the university’s fleet of 33 training planes.
The Aeronautics Department from Kent State University’s College of Applied Engineering, Sustainability and Technology will host its 19th Aviation Heritage Fair on Saturday, Sept. 19. The event is from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Andrew W. Paton Field at the Kent State University Airport, located at 4020 Kent Road in Stow, Ohio.
Earlier this year, the state of Ohio designated the second Tuesday of April as “Ohio Internship and Co-op Appreciation Day.” The purpose of the day, which falls on April 14 this year, is to raise awareness of the value of internship and co-op opportunities in this state and promote the establishment of internship and co-op programs at businesses and nonprofit agencies in Ohio.
