CAE: What advice do you have for current students?

BW: Enjoy your experience at Kent State while it lasts. It is a small amount of time that will have an impact on you for the rest of your life.

When Kris was asked what keeps her engaged with CAE 30 years after graduating with her bachelor's degree, her response was rooted in CAE core values.

The College of Aeronautics and Engineering (CAE) is proud to recognize outstanding, notable and accomplished alumni and friends of CAE. The recipients of Alumni Awards, except where noted, are degree holders of an undergraduate or graduate program in the college.

In her first year as the director of the May 4 Visitor Center, Alison Caplan has enjoyed uniquely wonderful and "magical" experiences in how Kent State's history creates connections and inspiration.

Alison Caplan, director of the May 4 Visitors Center, provides an up close look at some of the items in the center's "Graphic Content: The Comics of May 4" exhibition.  She also share stories about the art and the artists that created it.  

Olivia (Semon) Carnbprobst’s (’22, ’23) journey from a high school junior at the Nikki Kukwa Memorial Aviation Camp (NKMAC) to a first officer at Endeavor Air epitomizes the camp's impact on young women's careers in aviation.

Dexter credits the hands-on learning experiences for preparing him for the real-world challenges of his career. In particular, the Materials and Processes class provided him with essential skills in machining, welding, and casting, which he later applied in various engineering roles.

From his very first visit to Kent State College of Aeronautics and Engineering (CAE), Ethan Duncan felt right at home. The allure of the campus and the immersive air traffic controllers resonated deeply and he felt an immediate sense of belonging and excitement for what lay ahead.
