Kylie Karam is a freshman BFA dance performance major and is ecstatic to be a first year member of the Kent Dance Ensemble. She is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and has been dancing ever since she was a child. She was the captain of her high school’s dance team, as well as the student choreographer for her high school’s musical. Kylie had the amazing opportunity to perform Nice Work If You Can Get It as a lead dancer at the Gene Kelly Awards in 2018. She also received the “Student Leadership” award at the Universal Dance Association camp in 2019. This year, she was selected to be the Event Coordinator for the Student Dance Education Organization at Kent State. Kylie is so incredibly thankful for the opportunity to work with this talented group of dancers and is so excited for what is in store.
