Mia Savelli

Mia Savelli is a sophomore and second year member of the Kent Dance Ensemble. She is studying to receive a BFA in dance and a minor in arts entrepreneurship. She grew up in Kent, Ohio where she began her training in all styles of dance. During her time at Kent, Mia has performed in the 2021 Spring BFA/SDF Concert, KDE’s 2021 virtual performance “Remerge”,  The Cleveland Dance Festival, and the 2021 Fall Faculty Concert “Love Stories”.  She has been lucky enough to work with many guest teachers and choreographers to further her education. Mia is one of the event coordinators for the Student Dance Education Organization at Kent State. She was also placed on the Dean’s List and awarded “Outstanding Achievement as a Good Samaritan” by the dance faculty and was given the Kent Dance Ensemble “Merit Award” by her peers in the group. Over the Summer, Mia trained at “The Musical Theater Lab” where she continued her training to reach her future goals and was able to work and make connections with a lot of amazing professionals in the industry. Mia is so thankful for the opportunity to be in KDE and cannot wait to grow and learn as a member.
