Watch the 73rd Commencement Live

Friday, Dec. 17th at 7 p.m.

The 73rd Commencement ceremony at Kent State University at Ashtabula will be held Friday night, Dec. 17, 2021 beginning at 7 p.m. at SPIRE in Geneva, Ohio.

Over 100 graduates will be recognized at the event, which will have limited capacity inside SPIRE’s indoor track and field building. Graduating senior Holly Lane-Ruot will deliver the student address. “Flashes Safe Eight” and CDC safety guidelines will be followed.

“Commencement is always a special evening to celebrate such an important milestone in our students’ lives and I’m so pleased we can once celebrate in person at SPIRE with our graduates and their families,” said Susan J. Stocker, Ph.D., dean and chief administrative officer at Kent State Ashtabula. “Completing a degree is a major accomplishment, but to have completed a degree during a pandemic – and all the challenges that presented – is nothing short of incredible.”

“We’re graduating students in a wide range of in-demand fields,” Stocker added.  “Especially a good number of graduates in our nursing program who will help alleviate the regional and national nursing shortage.”

The event will be streamed live and archived to the campus YouTube Channel at www.youtube.com/ksuashtabula.
