East Liverpool Nursing Faculty is Finalist for 2016 Teaching Award

Professor Angela Douglass teaching a class Fall 2016Nursing Instructor Angela Douglass has been announced a finalist for Kent State University's 2016 Outstanding Teaching Award.

Three recipients will be awarded this year on Friday, October 21, 2016.

ELIGIBILITY

  1. A faculty member must have been on a non-tenure-track or part-time contract at the Kent Campus or any Regional Campus of the University for a minimum of five consecutive years (annually, not necessarily every semester), including the current academic year. Returning emeriti are excluded.

  2. Those receiving the awards must be on contract during the Fall semester in which the awards are presented.

  3. Those who received an Outstanding Teaching Award previously are not eligible.

Horticulture Graduate Jacob Logan Finds Career Success with Salem City Parks

When the local front page shared the news that Jacob Logan was named director of Parks and Recreation for the City of Salem, faculty and staff on the Kent State Columbiana County campuses could not have been any prouder.

That’s because Logan was a standout student on the Kent State Salem Campus, earning an associate degree in horticulture (with a concentration in arboriculture/urban forestry) and a bachelor’s degree in applied horticulture in 2012, after beginning his college journey as a student on the East Liverpool Campus.

Kent State’s Columbiana County campuses offer several opportunities to begin – or begin again.

Healthcare professionals are in high demand and needed everywhere.

Several programs on the Salem and East Liverpool campuses have specific, individual application processes – including their own deadlines.
