Salem Community Foundation Tuition Grant

 

Kent State Salem students living within the Salem City, West Branch, South Range, United and Leetonia Village school districts (for at least one year) are also eligible to apply for the Salem Community Foundation Tuition Grant Program.

Additionally, the maximum award is up to 20 percent of in-state tuition costs for classes at Kent State Salem. This amount is an increase from the previous 15 percent maximum grant.

Each applicant must be a permanent resident of an applicable school district for at least one year; be pursuing your associate or a first bachelor degree; and attend Kent State Salem. This program is for the fall and spring semesters only. 

Scholarships are available for students in all programs.

There is no minimum GPA requirement for new freshmen students, but current Kent State Salem students and transfer students must have a 2.00 cumulative GPA. Early admission students are not eligible for this grant. 

The maximum award is up to 20 percent of needed in-state tuition costs for classes at Kent State Salem.

The deadline to apply for the SCF Tuition Grant Program for:

  • Fall 2022 is Friday, September 9, 2022
  • Spring 2023 is Friday, January 20, 2023
