Overview
Université Laval was the very first French-language university in North America, dating its origin back to 1663, and is Canada’s very first university. With world-class programs, over 100 professors and seasoned researchers, FSA ULaval brings excellence, ethics and sustainable development together to move the business world forward. Imagine studying in a vibrant setting in the heart of an inspiring, French-speaking city – with the possibility of enhancing your education with courses given in English – this is what FSA ULaval has in store for you, and so much more! Business students may go to Laval for a semester, academic year, or special summer program, while any student may participate in the summer French as a Foreign Language program.
Location
Located in Southeast Canada in the beautiful French-speaking province of Quebec, Quebec City is a large metropolitan area that allows students to explore the rich history and significance of the city through a variety of cultural experiences. Université Laval is an active member of its community, working hand-in-hand with local leaders and innovators in research and development. By sharing its knowledge and expertise, the university plays a vital role in sustaining a vibrant, thriving community. Students can expect to enjoy four distinct seasons and enjoy the outdoors during their time in Quebec.
Academics
KSU students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of program options at ULaval.
Semester exchange placements are available to business majors only, with courses taught in both English and French.
A summer exchange program called Startup Fuze is also available to business majors only. The summer program includes two 3-credit-hour classes for a total of 6 credit hours. The program focuses on empowering students to effectively design and launch business innovations based on the "design thinking" methodology. Startup Fuze includes more than 20 high-level speakers, from all backgrounds, who have rich experiences to share with you. It is a program that allows you to acquire, over a period of four weeks, knowledge and rich experience that will serve you throughout your professional life.
Students from any major who are interested in improving their French language skills may participate in ULaval's intensive summer French as a Foreign Language courses. Two five-week sessions are available each summer and students complete 6 credit hours during each session. Students must complete a placement test to determine the level of coursework in which they are eligible to enroll.
Living in Québec City
Students will stay in the university's dormitories. Students will also have access to The PEPS (Pavillon de l’Éducation physique et des sports) sports complex. PEPS is the leading center for recreational and competitive sports in the region. It boasts modern facilities and offers over 100 sports activities. You can also join one of the many intramural leagues and enjoy your favorite sport in a fun, competitive atmosphere.

- Minimum cumulative GPA: 2.5 or higher (some summer programs may require 2.8 or higher)
