Community Service Initiative

As a part of the 20th Annual State of the State Conference, we are asking you to support our Community Service Project, the County Clothing Center.

Located in Ravenna, Ohio and less than five miles from Kent State University, the County Clothing Center has been providing goods and services to students and families for over 60 years.  While the organization resides in Portage County, it serves the entire community. While the center gives items such as household goods, and new and gently used clothing, it also provides “business attire” for prospective job applicants and “something special” for weddings, proms and formal occasions, all free of charge.

The Clothing Centers does all of this and more thanks to the generous donations.

On the day of the conference, please consider bringing new or gently worn items to the Kent Student Center for donation to the County Clothing Center. As a thank you for your donation, your name will be entered into a special drawing for a gift basket.

Please consider donating:

  •      Blankets
  •      Maternity Clothes
  •      Bathroom towels & wash cloths
  •      Kitchen towels and dish cloths
  •      Pots and pans
  •      Silverware
  •      Paper towels
  •      Disposable cups, foam for hot beverages and plastic for cold drinks
  •      Cash or checks made out to The County Clothing Center (to help with bills)

We look forward to seeing you there.
