Blackboard Overview for Instructors

Instructors and TA's only: Join us for an overview of the Blackboard Learn system for Instructors and Teaching Assistants. Topics include communication tools, posting content, tests and assignments, the grade center, Kaltura, and the Collaborate conference tool.


Blackboard Collaborate Ultra

Ultra Collaborate Ultra is Blackboard's video conferencing tool used to meet with your class in real-time. Ultra lets you share applications, share your screen, deliver PowerPoint-style lectures and use a virtual whiteboard to interact with your students. Additionally, we will discuss classroom technology tools.


Blackboard Communication Tools

Instructors and TA's Only: This workshop will focus on Blackboard Learn communication tools including discussion boards, journals, announcements, and email.


Blackboard Tests & Assignments for Instructors

This class focuses on setting up and deploying tests and assignments. This workshop also covers the features of the Blackboard Learn Grade Center. The Grade Center allows faculty to record grades, calculate grades, and monitor student progress. Using the Grade Center, faculty can provide and manage students' grades for a variety of assessments, including assignments, tests, discussion board posts, and journals. Faculty can also create grade columns for any activities or requirements that require grading but do not require submission through Blackboard, such as special projects, participation, or attendance.. **FOR INSTRUCTORS ONLY**.
